It's the third annual Madison Mini Maker Fair, and FeLion Studios will be setting up a portable aluminum foundry downtown Madison, WI, to pour molten aluminum into custom creations that spectators and visitors make that day.
Open to anyone who is interested in exercising their maker-potentials, this first-come-first-serve foundry experience is designed to demystify the process of metal casting by having you create your own piece of relief sculpture and take it home that day.
The finished pieces will be a totally unique carving that you can make from the sand moulds that we provide on site and get cast into with molten aluminum. Be sure to get in line early! Our supplies are limited while the metal is flowing hot. Show up early at our tent to sign up for your spot. Only 40 moulds available.
